The LA region has turned into a volcanic island, and the DLC has Aloy pursuing a “sinister threat.” Featuring a compelling storyline continuing from where Horizon: Forbidden West left off, new characters, adventures, and more, this story takes place in a perilous new region to the south of the Tenakth Clan Lands. Forbidden West is the long-awaited sequel to the video game Horizon: Zero Dawn, which was released in 2017. The game featured the return of the game’s protagonist, Alloy, as she explored what is referred to as “the forbidden west,” which includes run-down versions of cities such as Las Vegas and San Francisco. Developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment and Guerrilla Games, Horizon: Forbidden West DLC Burning Shores will be available on April 19, 2023 for PlayStation 5.
