For new gamers, this may not sound exciting, but the NX’s official boot animation has recently been leaked. It was originally announced in March 2015, when Nintendo announced their collaboration with mobile developer DeNA. For over a year and a half, the console was known by its codename. After much anticipation, Nintendo finally revealed the Switch on October 20, 2016. Below you can see the animated NX logo that was leaked from a prototype copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and leaked by Twitter user Paul Kelly.

— Paul Kelly (@PaulFelixKelly) November 20, 2022 While there is not much to show other than the blue themed GIF shared above, we can clearly see how Nintendo was going for the blue theming for “Switch”. Also, it is unclear if the company ever intended to name the device NX as it had designed quite a few programmes around the name, so many people automatically didn’t think of it as a ‘codename’. Apparently, even though “NX” was just a working title, Nintendo animated the NX’s menus back when it was simply a development kit so that programmers could use it to make video games. Now, though, screenshots of both that and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have been released.

Do note that the characters shown WILL NOT be part of the Booster Course Pass, and are likely just placeholders.
