Tech Analyst Alvin claims that there is a rumor going around that this security component will be included in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The surface area for user authentication is increased by having a 3D Sonic Max, and the speed at which the lock screen permits access to the home screen is also increased.

It is the same sensor used in phones like vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro, which has a huge scanning area and it can scan a finger very rapidly. pic.twitter.com/EUGp1olThC — Alvin (@sondesix) August 18, 2022 Increased production costs are the only rational explanation for why Samsung hasn’t yet used Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max on a flagship. The Galaxy S22 Ultra features an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner from the Korean firm, although none of Samsung’s high-end devices have one yet. The 3D Sonic Max sensor from Qualcomm is a feature that might be included in the S23 series. Not only would it improve the security features, but it would also set the phone apart from its previous flagship lineups.
